Gefen is well known for a varied range of its wireless USB devices last year it announced a wireless USB hub with 30-foot range and now it has rolled out its new Wireless USB with a range of 100 feet.
It has three of these products under production, which come along with wireless extenders for component audio, HDMI and VGA.
Here is a briefing of some features offered by these USB products
1. The four-port USB extender uses Wisair’s 3.5GHz ultra-wideband and will have up to 400 Mbps throughput for $249.
2. The wireless HDMI extender uses TZero’s ultra-wideband, will have a 30-foot range, and support resolution up to 1080i and 400 Mbps transfer speeds for $499.
3. The VGA extender has a 100-foot range and supports 1280×1024 or 780p resolutions, no word on pricing.
All these features are enough for these products to pose a sheering competition to similar products in the market. These products may be available in first quarter of 2007.
