A new hybrid TV tuner WinTV-HVR 950 USB has been launched into the market by Hauppauge. This TV tuner also doubles up as a USB port and when connected to your PC allows you to watch TV and as well as record it because it includes WinTV2000 application.
You can watch analog cable and ATSC HD digital TV on your PC. The recording of the ATSC programming on your HDD is done in MPEG-2 format with space requirement of 4 GB , analog recording is done by SoftPVR MPEG-2 and space required is 1.5 GB. You can also switch between analog and digital channels.
So sit back and enjoy the hybrid stuff what’s next are they going to hybrid hand held with PC (I think the Black Diamond has done it)
Note: Will not work with USB 1.1
This hybrid comes at the cost of $100.
