Kingston have launched all new water proof DataTraveler Secure USB 2.0 drives featuring hardware based encryption to safe guard your data.

This new range starts from 128 MB and goes all the way up to 4 GB and all these drives are titanium coated stainless steel which enables them to withstand harsh conditions. The water proofing confirms to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 60529IPX8 standard that can protect against water damage to the depths of up to four feet.

Further, these drives come with controlled access and data protection is provided via 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) enabling information to be encrypted and decrypted by authorized users.

Designed to protect sensitive data on Windows-based systems, the new Kingston Technology DataTraveler Secure comes with MyDataZone software. MyDataZone software enables business users to apply password-controlled access for a private data storage area on the USB drive.

If ever lost or stolen, this advanced encryption continues to protect data in the drive’s privacy zone. These drive give a 24 MB/s reading speed and 10 MB/s write speeds.

Priced at £24 for the 512MB model, with the maximum of £147 for the 4GB unit.
